A range cooker is a heavy, fixed kitchen appliance and must be installed by the right trade. A gas range must be connected and commissioned only by a registered, competent gas engineer — never connect gas yourself; an electric or induction range is hardwired to a suitable circuit by a qualified electrician. Leave the stated clearances to walls and combustible materials, provide adequate ventilation or extraction, and fit the anti-tip bracket where supplied. The appliance is very heavy and gets hot in use — keep children clear of hot surfaces and doors. Read the manual and keep the installation and commissioning records. CE marked where applicable. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to consumers.
